Writing Prompt - October 2025

October is arguably my favorite month of the year. It is full of the colors, scents and sounds I enjoy, plus a bit of dreary atmosphere that helps me to write. The visible bounty and decay of autumn spurs me to gothic musings that wend through my prose. I've noticed I write my best 'endings' while in this mindset - plot revelations, relationship conclusions, character deaths.
Is there a particular time of year during which you prefer to write? Does your environment affect your writing style?
